Rust en Vrede (rest and peace) summarises the style of the wines from this great estate. Very highly awarded, the wines are complex and comment provoking. Shiraz has been the bedrock of this Hldrberg estate. Aged for 18 months in French oak, this wine is the essence of complexity with dark plum, cherry, leather, smoked bacon, pepper, the aroma and profile not dissimilar to a top Northern Rhône red.
