This is our first time offering this wine En Primeur but we were so impressed with the quality-to-value ratio when we tasted it that we knew we had to offer it to our customers. The Château dates to about 1600 and was bought by the Jackson Wine family in 2003. There has been a steady increase in quality in the past decade, culminating in this 2020 vintage, which is the best we have tasted.

A measured yet powerful grip holds interest from beginning to end of the palate. This is just dripping with salinity from crushed stones, graphite and slate – a physical presence that balances beautifully with the fleshy black cherry and damson fruits, and the chocolate shavings. An excellent quality Lassegue, hard hitting and muscular but with pace and persistency. 52% new oak barrels (from 15 different forests – always a key signature of this estate’s ageing policy). 3.6pH, average vine age between 50 and 60 years old.

2. You will receive a confirmation email and receipt for your order. Please disregard any reference to shipping/delivery in these automated emails. We will contact you as soon as your wines arrive in 2023.
3. In the spring of 2023 you will be invoiced for the Excise Duty and VAT associated with your purchase.*
4. The 2020 wines will be bottled and released by the Châteaux in the spring of 2023 at which time we will ship the wines from France to your preferred location in Ireland, included in the price paid today.
*Taxes will be charged at the rate set by revenue when the wines arrive in the country. For estimation purposes the current Excise Duty rates in Ireland are €3.19 per bottle (€19.14 per 6 bottle case) and 23% VAT

Our policy is valid for 30 days. If you don't receive the product within 30 days, we're unable to offer the option of a refund or exchange.
In order to be eligible for a refund, your product must be unopened and in the same condition as you received it in. It should also be in its original packaging.
