The Chardonnay grapes for this wine come from the Santa Lucia Highlands AVA in Monterey California, where the warm days help develop ripe tropical fruit flavours, whilst the cooler nights retain freshness and acidity. Minimum intervention in the winery yields a bright and rich wine with aromas of vanilla and brioche from the light touch of oak and lees ageing. The luscious palate is layered with tropical fruit flavours- pineapple, pear and tangerine- as well as a sweet spice from the oak. The finish offers clean, rounded acidity and a hint of chalky minerality.
