All of the grapes for this wine come from the Alexander Valley. It is crafted from over 95% Cabernet Sauvignon and a dash of other Bordeaux varieties.Maroon in the glass with a garnet hue, it has an enticing nose of maraschino cherries, blackberry bramble and brisket with notes of vanilla, clove and star anise from the 24 months in American oak. It is mouthwatering with a fruity mid-palate of currant, toasted vanilla and roasted brown sugar. Structured tannins provide an elegant character with a long and expressive finish. Given proper cellaring, this wine will continue to develop complexity.
